Where are we?

Knowehead is nestled beside the tranquil Kendoon Loch, a few miles south of Carsphairn on the B729.

Carsphairn is a quiet village with an active community with services including a village shop/cafe, heritage centre and church.

To the south, St John’s Town of Dalry, which has two hotels, a 24hr petrol station & shop, a village shop/post office.

A broader range of shops and services are available in the ‘Food Town’ of Castle Douglas (approx 22 miles) and the regional capital – Dumfries (approx 31 miles).
